population census, 2020 round and post 2020: from traditions to modernism

The Conference will be a good opportunity for the specialists in the field to meet and share their experience gained with the occasion of the previous rounds of population census. It will make room for interesting discussion on the novelties that will be experimented for the first time in the 2021 round, considering that most EU countries are currently in an advanced stage of it preparation. European and national policy makers need faster and more detailed statistics from the censuses. Population is more and more reluctant in participating to statistical surveys – sample or total enumeration. Thus, NSOs are facing challenges in preparing and organizing next population census in best way so that to overcome the difficulties already known as well as any new ones that may occur.
